June 25, 2025 - 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

This hands-on class will highlight summer’s bounty so you can shop local and prepare with more knowledge and confidence. Whether you’re a backyard gardener or a loyal farmers’ market shopper, you’ll finish this class with an array of dishes you’ll want to put on repeat in your own kitchens.

This class is vegetarian and gluten-free. We reserve time to enjoy these dishes as a casual dinner at the end of class. Liz will provide a surprise dessert to finish our Easy Summer Dishes class.

We’ll prepare:

Shakshuka- a one-dish simmered egg delight with North African roots. Green up this classic with your choice of local spinach, kale or beet greens.

Summery Sesame Slaw- one heck-of-a flexible, add what you like, slaw recipe. Freshly harvested cabbage will make you a believer! Add- in options from this week's market may include carrots, green onions, snow peas and/or sugar snaps.

Quinoa Tabouleh Salad with Roasted Chickpeas- Tabouleh made gluten-free and amped up with protein loaded grain and beans. Show off at least two varieties of tomatoes here.

Classic Hummus- So much better than store bought! We’ll discuss all sorts of variations on this Middle Eastern basic.
